1 color brioche is knitted by slipping a stitch while making a yarnover, knitting a stitch and repeating.
The yarnover is made by bringing the yarn to the front of the work before slipping the stitch and then bringing the yarn to the back of the work OVER the needle.
On the next row, the yarnover and the slipped stitch are knittet together. That is called briochknit ( BRK ). And the stitch that was knitted on the previous row, is slipped with a yarnover.

Patentstrik i 1 farve strikkes ved at løfte en maske løs af, samtidig med at der laves et omslag.
Omslaget laves ved at holde garnet foran arbejdet, medens masken løftes løs af og så løfte garnet OVER pinden, så det er bag arbejdet. Så strikket 1 ret. Dette gentages pinden ud.
På næste ( og alle følgende pinde ) strikkes omslaget og løs-af-masken ret sammen, medens den maske, der blev strikket på den forrige pind tages løs af med et omslag.
